Puma scare tactics

This picture is NOT good news, but it can help us keep fighting. Look at it for a minute. Underneath those terrifying shrouds are women, real live women just like you and me. Mothers, aunts, sisters, grandmothers, daughters, friends. There is NO PLACE on earth that should be safe for men and governments to force women to sit like this.

Every little thing that we do, like sending a letter or making a phone call; and every big thing that we do, like running for office or taking on the school board, is a blow to the powers and governments who terrorize, torture, and kill women like the ones above.

Martin Luther King said, “Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.”

Perhaps. But this I do know, The fight for justice anywhere is a threat to oppression everywhere.

Keep fighting Pumas. In small ways and big.

Last time I checked,  I dont remember seeing anything like this being forced on anybody here in America and  I really dont think that the Taliban gives a shit about you running for office or for your local school board.  With scare tactics like the one we see above, is there any doubt that Murphy has Republican roots? Face it Murphy, you are irrelevant and your attempts to make a difference will fall on deaf ears. Also Murphy, please dont use quotes from Dr. King, If he was alive today he would denounce you and your organization for what you are, racist bigoted assholes, except he would be alot nicer than I and just call you racists.  Yeah, keep fighting Pumas, we love to watch and laugh!

  1. From PUMA idiot Dakinkat:

Pumas are the new Cassandras. Our warnings, unheeded, demonized, and marginalized, are now the stuff of MSM op ed pieces. I’d like to point you to a few that are searing Obama with legitimate criticisms. I would think they came from one of the edgier Puma sites but they don’t. One is from CNN. The other from the UK’s Prospect.

Stupid Pumas. Ruben Navarette wrote the CNN article. He’s a member of the San Diego Union Tribune editorial board and supported John McCain in the election. Not surprising since Navarette is a Conservative Republican who also writes for Townhall, a right-wing blog. The funny thing about CNN is that they have writers of all stripes contribute.

The UK Prospect is a xenophobic right wing rag. Christopher Hitchens writes there. The American Prospect is a progressive magazine headed by Robert Kuttner. You’ve got the two confused.

    Stupid stupid PUMAs.

  2. The UK’s spectator (itself a right-wing rag) has a neat takedown of the Prospect magazine article:

    http://www.spectator.co.uk/alexmassie/3475316/has-obama-already-failed.thtml

PUMA – Proudly leaving no right-wing source uncited to bolster its own prejudices since 2008.

  3. The Prospect used to be a liberal magazine. But it’s drifted right. The Guardian called it “reactionary.” It’s a polemicist really but you can’t use big words around a PUMA. And the author of the article in the Prospect is Bartle Bull, a American who happens to be a Republican. Inconvenient facts that they omit.

$4,600 was given by people who identified their last name as “Bull” and first name as “Bartle”.
$4,600 from 1 person to Republicans
    $0 to Democrats

I tried to publish this on the Confluence but they won’t permit it.

They are lazy. They rely on Wikipedia for all their information and Wikipedia is often wrong. You’re right the PUMAs leave no right wing source uncited to bolster their hate.

  4. The new Cassandras? THE NEW CASSANDRAS?

  5. I can’t really top this comment from the Spectator article:

Inside Bartle Bull’s head there are little wingnut elves with hammers, pounding square pegs into round holes.

    Well played!

  6. Ruben Navarette? Bartle Bull? She’s trying to pass off these two as fair minded? They’re both Republicans. Navarette spent the fall bemoaning that Hispnaics abandoned McCain. And Bull worked for Rudy Guiliani’s campaign.

It’s pretty clear Ms. Dakinkat knows not how to do any research.

  7. Charles, check this nonsense out. Here this stupid puma confuses Bartle Bull father and Bartle Bull son.

dakinkat, I also read on The Prospect’s website that Bartle Bull was one of the first journalists to call the turn in the Iraq War. I looked up his bio on wiki and to say the dude seems to know what he’s talking about is an understatement. AND I read that Bartle Bull was a former aide for Robert F. Kennedy, pretty much a liberal, but decided to endorse McCain. Bull is essentially a PUMA: http://article.nationalreview.com/?q=YWNmZDQ4MWE2OTFkOGZlMThmZDJkMWNhNDdhY2UzMWI=

    From Wiki:

Bull has done seven journalistic tours of duty in Iraq since the start of the insurgency in the spring of 2004 and is the only western journalist to have been embedded with the Mahdi Army in Iraq.

Bull has written from the Middle East for the New York Times, the Washington Post, the Wall Street Journal, the Financial Times, the Daily Telegraph, Foreign Policy, Die Welt and many other publications. His work, widely syndicated in Europe and the United States, has been featured in Corriere della Sera, the International Herald Tribune, the Los Angeles Times, and elsewhere. He appears frequently on radio and television, especially for the BBC, NPR, Fox News and Al Jazeera.

…In the October 2007 issue of Prospect magazine, Bull argues that the Coalition’s mission in Iraq has been accomplished….This article, and its sister pieces in The Times and the Wall Street Journal, called “required reading in the Pentagon and elsewhere” are widely considered to be the most influential analytical writing about Iraq since the 2005 election cycle in that country.

Bull is a neo-con which is essentially a PUMA since they are so fond of quoting them. Bartle Bull the younger was born in 1970. RFK died in 1968. What a prodigy.

    Stupid PUMAs.

I can’t figure how anyone graduated lower than I did.

My GPA was something like 1.69 which is D or D+

If they continue to have people like this formuating strategy and policy, we have nothing to worry about…
