There are poor people in the USA?!!?1????1!!!

PUMAs discovered feminism at some point between summer and fall of 2008. Now they’ve found out that there are poor people — in America!

ZOMG! And Obama is such a dick, he fails to wear a coat in his office as a special coded insult aimed at poor, hardworking white Americans (kinda like the special two-fingered bird he flipped at Hillary).

The revelation that there are white poor people is so disturbing to La Murphy that she’s ready to lead the mighty PUMA army in a suicide assault on…something:

I’m about ready to lose my mind. And not in a quiet, peaceful Mrs. Robinson sort of way.

Losing my mind, I seize weapons; not that there is any reason in weapons, yet to gather a battalion for war and to make a run at the citadel with comrades sets my soul on fire. Madness and rage overthrow the mind, and it occurs to me that it is splendid to die in armor.

– Vergil, The Aeneid. Book 2, Lines 348-352.

God help us all if they discover illiteracy, pet overpopulation or air pollution. They’ll take us all out in a blaze of glory, they will…

  1. Yeah, let’s see — how long ago did Agee and Evans do Let Us Now Praise Famous Men? Should I suggest Darragh the Dumbass read it? Might be fun to see her head go ‘splodey.

“Praise FAMOUS MEN??!?! Woman-Lyncher! OMGSEXISTSEXISTSEXISTWFTBBQ SHOOT THEIR COCKS OFF!”

  2. I wonder if they will now understand the context of the “bitter” comment made by the then Senator Obama? I doubt it. They are too stupid.

  3. um. per the “why don’t we have a peace corps for this sort of thing” comment? isn’t that EXACTLY along the lines of what Obama proposed with the “community service,” and what they were all screaming about as impending IslamoCommieFascism?

“living in La La land” –um….you think?!

  4. oh and the “not wearing a coat” bullshit–please, that’s such classic Republicanism I’m surprised a red “R” doesn’t manifest itself on her forehead. How stupid are her regulars?

  5. isn’t that EXACTLY along the lines of what Obama proposed with the “community service,” and what they were all screaming about as impending IslamoCommieFascism?

Yep. I suppose Murphy is using the same cognitive dissonance shield that allows her to parrot criticisms of the stimulus bill from both Krugman and Limbaugh.

  6. I don’t know why PUMAS who allege to be so knowledegeable of all things Clinton wouldn’t know the following with regard to AmeriCorps – a sort of domestic Peace Corps:

In 1993, President Bill Clinton signed the National and Community Service Trust Act, which established the Corporation for National and Community Service and brought the full range of domestic community service programs under the umbrella of one central organization.

This legislation built on the first National Service Act signed by President H.W. Bush in 1990. It also formally launched AmeriCorps, a network of national service programs that engage Americans in intensive service to meet the nation’s critical needs in education, public safety, health, and the environment.

The newly created AmeriCorps incorporated two existing national service programs: the longstanding VISTA (Volunteers in Service to America) program, created by President Lyndon Johnson in 1964 and the National Civilian Community Corps (NCCC).

  7. Desert Mouse, that’s a great point, but when considering the PUMAs, it helps to remember that they had zero political consciousness until they realized that Hillary Clinton might lose to the new ni — ‘scuse me, “inadequate black male.” They thought all their problems would go away magically once Mamma Hillary was in office to make things all better for them.

Which is why all their attempts at “political organizing” fall flat. They have no history, no knowledge, no connections, no clue. And since their only real mission is “hate Obama with a burning senseless unwarranted rage, no matter what he does,” they’re not likely to form any lasting effective alliances in the world of real feminist and progressive organizations.

  8. Spot on Kerry. The problem for them is that they are no longer in a position to achieve anything. Lets say for example a Researcher for Democratic Representative picks up one of their 5s of faxes. They look at the fax and consider whether it is worth meeting one of these nuts as they are obviously interested in politics.

Where does she stand? Oh obviously a feminist? So the researcher looks them up and nope they opposed Leadbetter because Obama did it.

Concerned about the poor and unemployed. In fact at least one is unemployed. They oppose the Recovery and Reinvestment Act. A for taxes al long as Obama is not proposing them and for spending as long as Obama is not doing the spending. Hmmm.

Concerned about the economy overall? But writing from two totally diametrically opposing outlooks at once. This gets gets stranger.

Concerned about the Primaries? Yeah they went on a bit long and were causing damage to the Party. Err nope, They call the Party Leadership everything from pigs to worse.

So th researcher looks up their websites? Death threats, unadulterated racism, extreme right wing talking points.

So the researcher set the fax machine to receive their stuff in memory only and goes on about doing more useful things instrad.

  9. I’M OUTRAGED! I DON’T KNOW WHY; I JUST WOKE UP THIS WAY. DAMN OBAMA!

  10. Sorry in advance for the long post.

I saw this posted on the Effluence earlier, figured I would share it before it gets deleted. Either this “AlicePaulFan” is messing with them or is more demented than jenniforhillary. Gotta love the “raised by radical Muslims” talking point, shows what a good democrat she is:

It’s good to see jenniforhillary posting here, I’ve admired her comments ever since I stumbled on her back in the primaries. Of everything she’s posted, this is my favorite:

Oh come on, your patronizing, overtly sexist response confirms why you would blindly support a black supremacist only interested in power and money. Let me repeat myself, Barack Hussein Obama was raised a radical Muslim (two-thirds of his family are practicing Muslims), so his middle name is of GREAT importance especially in light of the fact that his church, the churh where he is a member, gives sermons, and holds a leadership role, gave Louis Farrakhan (a Muslim) a ‘humanitarian’ award. By the way, Barack Hussein Obama did not denouce the award, but rather Farrakhan’s endorsement of his running for public office. Barack Hussein Obama is just fine with his church giving Louis Farrakhan a ‘humanitarian’ award. But I am not. Racism is racism and if people who think black people are lesser because of their color are racists, than people who think whites or jews are lesser because of the color of their skin or the country they happened to be born in are racists too. You are missing the point entirely, and this is the BIG problem. You cannot say you are for unity if you preach separatism and hate, you cannot say you are for change if you are doing the same old thing (lining your pockets, pandering to the public, and piling on the pork), and you cannot say that you care about people if nothing you do speaks to this as a truth UNLESS you are a hypocrite and a liar. You and others remind me of poor people who voted for George Bush when ALL (i.e. EVERY SINGLE ONE) of his programs benefitted only the top 10% of the most wealthy. WHY do you support someone who is laughing all the way to the bank carrying YOUR money driving his rolls royce? I am begging you to reconsider, read, and vote for someone who really cares. I would challenge Mr. Obama right now to debate me anytime, anyplace and I would win because I speak the truth and I have no other motive other than to help others. I don’t want to be elected, I don’t want to be rich, I just want poor people, the middle class, women, people of color, etc., etc. to have a fighting chance at the American Dream. The BIG LIE always seems to work though, so my truths and THE TRUTH just keeps getting overlooked….PLEASE remember to look beyond the hype and please vote for Hillary Clinton.

Make sure you check the link to the Houston Press, J4H gets off a few more rants in the comments section.

  11. To quote Roy Blount Jr., I think the PUMAs embody a mindset that is all too typical in the American electorate:

    1) I am entitled to everything.
    2) Taxes are BAD!

  12. From the article Ma Murphy linked: “Bush, by contrast, made it a point to be in coat-and-tie whenever he entered the Oval Office.”

Total bullshit. It’s almost too pathetic to comment on, but a couple of weeks ago when the GOP tools first tried to float this one, it was nicely countered by numerous photos showing all the presidents from at least Reagan to Bush II in shirtsleeves (or worse) in the Oval Office – Bush Jr., in fact, with his grubby feet up on the sacred desk! *clutches pearls*

Seeing Murphy’s choice of media outlets, it’s no wonder she doesn’t have a clue.

More relative trivia: I was under the impression it was spelt Appalachia, not Appalacia? IIRC, folks there tended to vote disproportionately for McCain/Palin.

  13. And of course the fact that Bush was in coat-and-tie more often than not would explain why he was such an awesome president and left office with sky-high approval ratings.

Darragh’s GOP jiz-guzzling tendences are showing through more and more, aren’t they? I mean, for a “lifelong Democrat.”

  14. If any of those PUMAS are actually democrats I will eat my favorite shoes! From my brief forays over on their various sites I have been able to glean that Obama is worse than Satan & men’s private parts should violently be removed from their bodies. Does anyone recall an old SciFi movie where women ruled a planet & men were their slaves? That would be Utopia for PUMAS.
