Shorter Stupid Murphy:

“Fellow PUMAs, we have no idea what the fuck we’re talking about. So get on those phones and scream even louder about the topic on which we don’t have a fucking clue! “

Okay, maybe it’s not a whole lot shorter, but it’s an accurate interpretation of what she actually did say:

UPDATE: 2/5/09 at 11:41 est: The Senate may vote TODAY on the Stimulus Bill. CALL your SENATORS. Put the brakes on this thing and FORCE o’logo, pelosi, and the rest of them to do this thing RIGHT. Think of it as a Citizens Strike. We dont have to have all the answers or know exactly what the correct path is. That’s THEIR job.

Got that? “We don’t have a fucking clue what to do, but you’re doing it wrong!” Jesus, what a moron. The funny thing is, the 200 or so “prowlers” will parrot the exact same line — no matter which side of the debate their senator is on! Which is as it should be. If you admit right up front you don’t know the correct path, you might as well bitch about a step in any direction, right?

You know, this blog is called “Stupid PUMAs,” and we amuse ourselves by holding a tiny fraction of PUMA retardation up for general ridicule. But I begin to think “stupid” is too mild a term for these nitwits. They are pure, unadulterated Stupid, unalloyed and distilled to its truest Stupid essence. They are the archetype of Stupid, the Platonic ideal of Stupid. Ur-Stupid. Hear the Stupid roar.

  1. 200? I think that’s a bit optimistic.

  2. You’re right, Tom65. My guess is that there are about 200 PUMAs on the entire planet. Probably less than half hang out at Murphy’s Fail Factory.

  3. Let me just say that I absolutely love Murphy’s use of capitalization as a volume knob (e.g. “o’logo,” “Citizens Strike,” “FORCE”). I wish she would add more settings, like “RoAr,” but it’s still cool, and I suggest it be a part of any future shorters.

Their behavior on the stimulus bill has made it clear to me that they really are the Rush Limbaugh wing of the Democratic party: they oppose the stimulus because they want to fail. Which makes their support of Our Girl a part of Operation Chaos.

  4. Yeah, the Violence Against Women Act didn’t need that hundred and fifty million dollars anyway. It’s not as if it were WomanLynching, after all.

  5. Personally I think there should be a PUMA of the Month competition.

Jo Brand suggested something for the UK equivalent

(Just joking – although it is not as though Republicans have not
    shit on America anyway).

I have a few nominations in mind, primarily Larry Johnson, for whipping up so much hate, that he has to calm down death threats.

Although everyone wishes her well, it will not make any of the Limbaugh Democrats realise why elections have consequences. They just do not have clue.

  7. The 200 number stems from their own admittance that hundreds of faxes and e-mail were sent in at some point, however based on my math I’m pretty sure that includes any and all sock puppets plus the count of ten when taking jenn4hillary into consideration.

I have not been on their blog for about 5 days, I just couldn’t take it any more, I needed a break. In the meantime I have continued to send the PUMA shoe company anything that I have on them using their logo or defaming their name. I’ve also been counter-prowling anybody that they are prowling with nothing less than Jennforhillarys comments..

These people are the highest form of idiot.

  8. Y’know, things are getting closer and closer to Ultimate Flame levels of eloquence.

“I cannot believe how incredibly stupid you are. I mean rock-hard stupid. Dehydrated-rock-hard stupid. Stupid so stupid that it goes way beyond the stupid we know into a whole different dimension of stupid. You are trans-stupid stupid. Meta-stupid. Stupid collapsed on itself so far that even the neutrons have collapsed. Stupid gotten so dense that no intellect can escape. Singularity stupid. Blazing hot mid-day sun on Mercury stupid. You emit more stupid in one second than our entire galaxy emits in a year. Quasar stupid. Your writing has to be a troll. Nothing in our universe can really be this stupid. Perhaps this is some primordial fragment from the original big bang of stupid. Some pure essence of a stupid so uncontaminated by anything else as to be beyond the laws of physics that we know. I’m sorry. I can’t go on.”

(Quoted from http://www.ultimateflame.com – which is in itself a reprint of text that’s been floating around for more than a decade now.)

  9. Well, if the PUMAs are opposing it, that means the stimulus bill will probably pass unanimously, given their past track record.

  10. StupidBigots at NQ now want someone to apologise for calling a racist a racist. Quite typical of Mr Whoops there was no Whitey Tape I just wanted to get on Fox Johnson’s site.

Favorite headlines this morning: Obama says We came here to make change. Well, his idea of change seems to be change the groups of undeserving people he’s going to hand our tax dollars to. Really, there needs to be a movement in this country to do away with income tax. Why should people work hard so their money can be handed over to ministers and blacks in whatever neighborhood Obama decides to give it to. That whole program has always been a way to buy votes and now the Democrats are expanding it.

I bet you claim not to be racist either.

UK: you don’t know what racist is anymore than Obama. Obama is the racist. He thinks whites should give up everything for blacks. You don’t live in this country. The blacks have been getting millions of dollars from the government for 60 years and jobs and education opportunities that whites don’t have. They’ve used the money to form gangs and buy cocaine.

Obama is racist against whites. Racism can cut more than one way.

Tek, that was an extremely unfair remark to make to you, and I said so above. If this happens to you again, by anyone, be sure to e-mail me at susanunpc at gmail dot com. We believe in free speech here, and refuse to ban people just because they’re in the tank for Obama, but we do NOT have to put up with outrageous and damaging charges that are simply untrue.

Please accept my apologies to you for having to endure this experience at our blog. And be sure to let us know if it happens again.

  11. Susan Hudgens a.k.a. SusanUnPC a.k.a. SusanHu has a chequered past in terms of accusations of racism herself. Here’s one set of examples:

Anti-whaling activists refuse to challenge racists within the ranks

    * Consider Robertson’s forward of the racist “satire” as one recent example. View it in its entirety at http://www.ourpress.com/kill_all_whales.htm

Instead of challenging the post, two people accused Robertson of giving opposing “activists juice for their racism campaign” – as if it were merely a campaign, rather than a legitimate concern. List member Dian Hardy said it is “the kind of writing that got Athena into so much trouble,” without mentioning that the trouble might be warranted. List owner and administrator Susan Hudgens wrote that people should simply list URLs of where they got material to post — presumably meaning that as long as someone else wrote it, it was OK. The only debate that occurred was whether the piece was funny or not.

    “Multiculturalism is racism”

Other members of the SWK list have embraced the notion that “multiculturalism is racism,” an idea pushed by far-right groups.

One such posting included the following: “Multiculturalism is racism in a politically correct guise,” said Peter Schwartz of the Objectivist Institute, the Ayn Rand think tank. “The multiculturalists are racists,” he said. “They want to judge all men and women by their unchosen ancestry, not by their chosen, individual character. These new racists base their morality on that which is outside moral choice: ethnic heritage, skin color, and geography. They are no better than the old-fashioned racists they claim to hate, except they practice a more insidious form of racism.” This was subsequently lauded by three list members, including owner Susan Hudgens (herself an Objectivist Society member). It was challenged by no list member.

    “Non-racism” as spin control

After accusations of racism began against the anti-whalers, they had a few choices about how to respond: either ferret out the racists within and look inward, or choose to do “spin control” about their own bigotry. They chose spin control. Here is the evidence:

Anthony Marr and Susan Hudgens both wrote that the movement should recruit Indian anti-whalers to join the campaign, because such people “would not suffer the debilitating effect of being branded a “racist’.” The irony of having to recruit Indians so as not to appear anti-Indian was lost on list members. No one seemed to notice this is the same strategy the Republican Party uses to attack affirmative action – get a minority to say it, it will distract attention from the race issue.

  12. And while I’m waiting for my last post to clear moderation (any chance of removing the two-link limit on comments, Pumarubbernecker?), here’s something about Supreme Arbiter Of What Is Racist SusanUnPC/Hu/Hudgens from early last year (when Kevin K was already on her case):

Yes. I shied away from the Puma groups long ago. Some loose coalitions can be alright, but this one was too loose. I saw hardcore rightwingers getting a pass, and that was not for me.

Some good came out of it — met some good people, but I dropped out of any active participation.

What was hardest was getting NoQuarter’s name and link off their sites. Ugh.

Agreed, there was a lot to undermine the reputation of PUMA organisations and TechDude was such an individual. I can not be the only one who googled his name and found just as much in Stormfront as NoQuarter. Really not sure what that does for your reputation, but it did allow any concerns to be rejected in a very dismissive manner.

To some, the enemy of my enemy is their friend, to their opponents, an extreme foe allows ad hominem attacks. Kind of like Israel!

Aha. We have had some interesting experiences along the way. Let’s just leave it at that. You can imagine.

Although I didn’t get involved, I had problems with TechDude’s findings because he didn’t present his factual findings. It’s very important to divulge all of one’s information.

Like LD did in his superb analysis of the SEC chair nominee. That was sad last night — he didn’t get nearly the response he deserved. But I think no one knew how hard he worked on that. He researched the entire record of that regulatory agency she oversaw. He spent ALL day on it. He also read the full 68-page 2008 annual report, and was stunned with what he found. Now, it also is that he is one of the few people on our staff, or even among our readers, who can understand such material. We’re bumping it up tomorrow morning and hope that it gets what it deserves. I’d be grateful if you comment on it. It’ll probably get bumped up @ 9:30 a.m. ET.

    Glad you’re with us.
